Turning your golf game from good to Great!
One of the hottest topics of conversation in golf today is game improvement. All golfers are interested in improving their golf game. What is game improvement? Is it equipment? Conditioning? Instruction? Technology? Courses? Clothing? Aids? Practice? The question varies from one industry to the next or from one golfer to the next. As an avid golfer myself, I am always looking for the best equipment on the market, the latest exercise craze, and/or the next big thing that will help my game improve. We all love this crazy, frustrating game of golf to the point where we spend big bucks on game improvement techniques. We have been bombarded over many years with all the advancements in technology and enjoying every minute of it. In the last 25 years, technology has improved, not only for golf equipment, but also swing analysis, course maintenance, you name it and it has improved. With all this change, our overall handicaps have barely improved. Since 1991, research has indicated that handicaps have only dropped by 2 strokes as the scale indicates below.
In my opinion, the part of the game we have not changed is how we practice. I have been playing golf at a competitive level for over 25 years and have seen almost no instruction on how to practice, or to be more specific, how to practice the way you want to play.
Putting makes up 40% of your score, so if you want to make a quick game improvement, then focus more practice time on perfect putting. When I observe players practicing on the practice putting green, the majority are spending their time putting to holes. They are not taking into account perfect practicetechniques to practice perfectly. Their mindset is focused more on hitting putts, not practicing perfectly the techniques needed to improve their putting. Not long ago, I was one of those golfers. I was spending the majority of my time hitting balls, spending very little time on practicing good putting techniques.
After many years of frustration of not making as many putts as I would like, I developed a putting system called The Perfect Practice Putting system. Perfect Practice Putting is a series of putting tools (aids) that work on the 4 elements of putting. The 4 elements of the system are reading putts, putter face and stance alignment, putting stroke, and speed control. My scores were going up over the last few years, due to the fact that I had no extra time to practice and/or play, but I still wanted to maintain a 0 handicap or better. In about 4 weeks of working with all of my tools, I shot a career best of 62. Since then, I have been playing better than I did 20 years ago in my college days. My practice time has not increased, but the quality of my practice time has defiantly improved. I just started my company called Perfect Practice Putting, because I am so excited about my improved putting skills, I wanted to offer golfers, young and young at heart, the same improvement experience as I have been experiencing myself. The tools are simple to use and two of the tools are made to be used without a ball, which can be used at home, or in the office. Try it out and see a big improvement before you even get to the golf course.
The perfect tools to perfect your putting.
Have fun Perfect Practice Putting!
